Salary: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Learning Support Assistant & Behaviour Mentor Secondary School Tottenham

We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant & Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming secondary school in Tottenham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning and achievement.

The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional academic, social, emotional, or behavioural support, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs both inside and outside the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, attendance, and academic progress.
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
• Support students with SEND, SEMH needs, or those at risk of exclusion.
• Assist with intervention programmes aimed at improving behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
• Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, mentoring, coaching, or support role.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
• The ability to motivate and inspire students who may be disengaged from education.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, ADHD, or Autism is desirable but not essential.
