Senior Electrical Engineer

Barrow-in-Furness

£450–£600 per day (PAYE)

37 Hours Per Week

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major energy client based at Barrow Gas Terminal.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical support to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems across the site.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will support maintenance, electrical modifications, commissioning activities and asset improvement projects while working closely with operations and maintenance teams.

Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

* Provide electrical engineering support across site operations.

* Support maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.

* Review electrical designs, drawings and technical documentation.

* Support inspection, testing and commissioning activities.

* Assist with electrical modifications and capital projects.

* Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and procedures.

* Work with contractors and site teams to deliver safe, high-quality work.

* Participate in safety reviews and engineering improvements.

Senior Electrical Engineer Requirements

* Previous experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar within an industrial environment.

* Experience with HV/LV electrical systems, power distribution, switchgear and transformers.

* Background within oil & gas, utilities, power generation, nuclear, petrochemical or other heavy industrial sectors.

* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and maintenance.

* Ability to review technical documentation and provide engineering support.
