Dynamics 365 Developer (X )

Contract: Inside IR35 (PAYE)

Location: Hybrid / London

Duration: Initial 6 months

About the role

A leading global organisation is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Developer with strong X development expertise to support the ongoing evolution, integration, and optimisation of its Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform.

Working within a fast-paced technology environment, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable D365 F&O solutions. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high-quality enhancements and integrations.

This opportunity would suit a developer who is comfortable operating within complex enterprise environments and has a strong understanding of retail, finance, and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customisations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Develop high-quality solutions using X in line with Microsoft best practices.
• Build and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and third-party applications.
• Develop extensions, workflows, forms, reports, and data entities.
• Participate in solution design workshops and technical architecture discussions.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Support deployments through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Experience:

• Proven experience developing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Strong hands-on X development expertise.
• Experience with extensions, customisations, and integrations within D365.
• Solid understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, or Retail business processes.
• Experience working with:
• Visual Studio
• Azure DevOps
• Lifecycle Services (LCS)
• Data Management Framework (DMF)
• Data Entities
• OData Services
• REST APIs
• Experience designing and developing integrations with external systems.
• Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
