Job Title: Youth Complex Support Worker

Location: Penzance / St Ives, Cornwall

Pay: £14.00 to £20.00 per hour (Weekly Pay plus Holiday Pay)

We are urgently recruiting a specialised team of crisis workers to support vulnerable youth across Penzance, St Ives, and the far west peninsula. You will be delivering specialised person centred intervention to children with complex neurodevelopmental profiles, autism, and high risk behaviours.

This opening is ideally suited to anyone who has a background as a Youth Mentor, Support Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant, Therapeutic Support Worker, Family Support Worker, or Sports Coach.

• Nurture Well Being: Encourage healthy daily structures, independent lifeskills, and safe community outings.
• De escalate Crisis: Step into highly volatile situations and use verbal techniques to successfully de escalate tension without friction.
• Collaborate Daily: Work alongside social workers, therapists, and internal managers to implement robust care plans.

• Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid support work experience inside the UK social care or education sector.
• Approach: A compassionate, low ego, and deeply resilient approach to managing physical aggression or absconding risks.
• Transport: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is required due to the geographic layout of the packages.
