Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Health, Safety & Environmental activities across multiple manufacturing areas.
- Support a long-term programme to phase out regulated chemicals and introduce compliant alternative processes in line with REACh legislation.
- Carry out and review risk assessments, including general H&S, COSHH, environmental and ergonomic assessments.
- Support the implementation of environmental action plans and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
- Provide HSE guidance and support to managers and operational teams on best practice, legislation and PPE requirements.
- Coordinate chemical compliance activities, including registration, exposure monitoring and documentation.
- Deliver REACh and chemical safety training to relevant stakeholders.
- Work alongside project teams to ensure HSE and environmental requirements are embedded into new and existing processes.
- Support confined space activities, equipment calibration and environmental monitoring where required.
- Assist with environmental inspections, atmospheric monitoring and chemical storage compliance.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous improvement initiatives and engagement across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and has a proactive approach to improving health, safety and environmental performance.

You will ideally have:

- A background in Chemicals or NEBOSH Certificate (Level 3) or equivalent, or IOSH Managing Safely with a willingness to work towards NEBOSH.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- Good understanding of UK REACh regulations and chemical compliance.
- Experience completing COSHH and workplace risk assessments.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and HSE management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence and drive positive
behavioural change.

Desirable
- Experience within aerospace, defence, chemical processing or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of electroplating, painting, surface treatments or NDT processes.
- Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement and environmental management initiatives.

What's on Offer?
- Opportunity to play a key role in a significant environmental compliance and process improvement programme.
- Join a collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment.
- Long-term career development within a stable and growing organisation.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- A varied role combining technical compliance, project support and operational HSE coordination.

If you're passionate about environmental compliance, chemical safety and driving continuous improvement within manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.
