Class 1 Driver (C+E) Days & Night Trunking Carrington & Trafford

Location: Carrington, Irlam & Trafford, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Agency Work
Shift Pattern: Days & Nights Available
Start Times: Days typically between 3:00am and 7:00am Various night start times available

Pay & Benefits

• Class 1 Day Drivers: £16.00 £17.00 per hour PAYE
• Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers: £17.00 £18.00 per hour PAYE
• Holiday pay accrued in addition to hourly rate

About the Role

Immediate opportunities are available for experienced Class 1 Drivers (C+E) looking for ongoing work across Carrington, Irlam and Trafford.

We are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for a range of day and night driving contracts, including pallet network deliveries, trailer swaps, bulk deliveries, multi-drop work and regular night trunking assignments.

Whether you are looking for Class 1 day driving or prefer Class 1 night trunking, we have opportunities available to suit experienced drivers seeking regular work and competitive rates of pay.

Class 1 Day Driver Opportunities

As a Class 1 Day Driver, your duties may include:

Completing pallet network deliveries and collections.

Carrying out trailer swaps.

Completing bulk deliveries.

Completing multi-drop deliveries.

Operating Class 1 curtain-sided trailers.

Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.

Completing delivery paperwork accurately.

Providing a professional service to customers and delivery locations.

Working safely and efficiently while following transport procedures.

Typical start times: Between 3:00am and 7:00am.

Class 1 Night Trunk Driver Opportunities

As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, your duties may include:

Completing depot-to-depot trunking work.

Carrying out trailer swaps.

Operating Class 1 units with curtain-sided trailers.

Completing regular trunk routes across the UK network.

Ensuring all movements are completed safely and within scheduled times.

Carrying out vehicle checks and maintaining high standards of compliance.

Night trunking benefits include:

• Regular trunking assignments.
• Minimal handball.
• Straightforward depot-to-depot driving.

Requirements

We're looking for reliable and professional Class 1 Drivers who take pride in their work, understand transport compliance and deliver a high standard of service.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Licence held for a minimum of 6 12 months.
• Minimum 6 12 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No DR, IN, CD or TT endorsements.
• No convictions resulting in a driving ban or disqualification.
• A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• A reliable, flexible and safety-conscious approach to work.
