Pay & Benefits

• £16.00 per hour PAYE
• £17.93 per hour (including rolled-up holiday pay option)

About the Role

Immediate starts are available for experienced Class 2 Drivers looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work delivering carpets, flooring products and associated materials throughout the UK.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will complete commercial and trade deliveries of carpet rolls, laminate flooring, wood flooring and flooring accessories. This is a single-manned delivery role involving regular manual handling, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable handling heavy products throughout the working day.

The role offers consistent weekday work, competitive pay rates and full training on the delivery system, routes and procedures.

You will use a handheld iPad device to record proof of delivery and manage delivery information, with support provided during your induction.

Shift Information

Monday to Friday

Start time: 6:00am

Shifts typically finish around 5:00pm

Between 16 and 22 deliveries per day

Commercial and trade customer deliveries

No weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

Delivering carpet rolls, laminate flooring, wood flooring and associated products.

Completing between 16 and 22 customer deliveries per day.

Loading, unloading and manually handling heavy flooring products.

Safely securing loads and ensuring products are transported correctly.

Using a handheld iPad device to complete proof of delivery information.

Providing excellent customer service at commercial and trade delivery locations.

Completing daily vehicle safety checks.

Following delivery schedules and route instructions.

Working in compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and all road transport regulations.

Requirements

We're looking for reliable and hardworking Class 2 Drivers who take pride in their work, provide excellent customer service and are comfortable with a physically demanding delivery role.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Licence held for a minimum of 6 months.
• At least 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Minor offences only.
• Must be aged 25 or over.
• Good customer service skills.
• The ability to carry out regular manual handling throughout the working day.
• A reliable, professional and positive approach to work.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience delivering carpets, flooring products, furniture, building materials or other heavy goods would be advantageous.

However, experience in this specific sector is not essential. Full training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
