Maths and English Tutor

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Maths & English Tutor at Prospero Teaching to support students in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator who is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Role Details
Position: Maths & English Tutor
Location: South Manchester
Pay Rate: GBP25.00 GBP30.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective Maths and English tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
Develop personalised lesson plans and learning strategies to support student progress.
Work closely with students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit their specific requirements.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents/carers, and relevant professionals.
Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Maths and English.
Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Skills & Experience:
Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
Knowledge of EHCPs and supporting students with additional learning needs.
Experience working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN requirements.
Ability to engage and motivate students who may have barriers to learning.
Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
