Caretaker (Temporary) - Lisburn

Lisburn 13.69 per hour 37 hours per week Temporary Ongoing

Hatched Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Caretaker on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities operative to join the Community Facilities & Resources Team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for ensuring council premises are maintained to a high standard, supporting building users, carrying out general caretaking duties, and ensuring the facility is safe, clean and ready for use.

Key Duties Include:

• Carrying out general caretaking and basic maintenance tasks
• Setting up and dismantling equipment for events and room bookings
• Completing cleaning duties across the facility, including toilets, kitchens and communal areas
• Acting as a key holder and supporting building security
• Carrying out health & safety checks and reporting any issues
• Maintaining outdoor areas, including car parks and general surroundings
• Providing excellent customer service to facility users and members of the public

Essential Criteria:

Previous caretaking, facilities, cleaning or maintenance experience

Experience in areas such as cleaning, minor repairs, security, equipment setup or similar

Knowledge of health & safety procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence and access to transport desirable

Working Hours:

37 hours per week

Early and late shifts on alternate weeks

Location: 50 Railway Street, Lisburn

Start Date: 3rd August 2026

Pay Rate: 13.69 per hour
