Agency Social Worker - 0-Infants TeamLocation: BlackpoolRate: £39 per hour

Blackpool Children's Services is looking for an experienced Agency Social Worker to join its 0-Infants Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference while working within a service that is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children through a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach.

The Role:

• Undertake pre-birth assessments
• Manage Child Protection, Complex Child in Need, and PLO/Pre-Proceedings cases
• Complete high-quality assessments, court statements, and reports
• Support and mentor less experienced social workers, providing coaching and professional guidance
• Work collaboratively to improve outcomes for children and families

Requirements:

• Strong experience in children's social work, including pre-birth, child protection, CIN, PLO, and court work
• Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage a complex caseload independently
• Passionate about delivering high-quality practice and supporting team development
• Social Work England (SWE) registration
