Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Special School in Basildon that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The school is committed to delivering personalised support, promoting independence and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed in a safe and supportive setting.

The school is looking to appoint a part-time SEND LSA from September 2026. The successful SEND LSA will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SLD, working closely with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team to encourage engagement, independence and positive learning outcomes throughout the school day.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly SLD
• Previous experience working in a Special School or similar setting
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
