Title: Procurement Associate
Location: Basingstoke, 3 days a week onsite and 2 days working from home
Contract Length: 12 months
Our client is looking for a Procurement Associate to support the Northern Hub (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK & Ireland) sales & marketing functions.
The role is responsible for supporting a number of key spend categories across the affiliates (marketing, medical, sales and support services) activities.
Responsibilities:
* Apply strategic sourcing processes, utilising project management skills and techniques to ensure timely project delivery and best value outcomes for Lilly.
* Manage supplier relationships in conjunction with business area owners.
* Act as an escalation point for contractual and performance issues.
* Negotiate and develop contracts within areas of responsibility.
* Manage sourcing/tendering process, utilising Ariba tools.
* Provide commercial advice to business areas as required.
* Work with business to develop approved supplier strategies and listings in key areas of responsibility
* Promote and ensure compliance with procurement processes and Financial Responsibility Authorisation Policy.
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent if new to procurement with a deep experience of interacting with external parties
* CIPS qualification would be beneficial although not essential
* Knowledge of procurement processes and techniques
* Ability to interpret and evaluate multiple sources of information
* Commercially aware
