Recruitment Account Manager. Driving Division

Location: Worcester 

Salary: £30 – £32k + Uncapped Commission

Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm

We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Account Manager to join our established and high-performing Driving Division. This is an opportunity to become part of a thriving team trusted by some of the UK’s leading transport and logistics businesses, including well-known household names where service quality, reliability and speed of response are critical to success.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where outstanding customer service and rapid response are at the heart of everything we do. You will manage high volumes of last-minute driver requirements, ensuring customers receive dependable solutions quickly, while maintaining strong, professional relationships with both clients and drivers.

You will play a key role in maintaining Workforce’s reputation for service excellence acting as a trusted partner to customers and ensuring drivers feel supported, valued and well managed at every stage.

Service-Focused Role Not Sales

Unlike Recruitment Consultant positions, this role is service-led rather than sales-driven.

Our Account Managers are dedicated to supporting and servicing an established network of existing customers. The focus is on delivering exceptional recruitment experience, building long-term partnerships, and ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled quickly, accurately and professionally.

You will not be expected to carry out cold business development or high-pressure sales activity. Success in this role comes from your ability to manage relationships, think operationally, respond at pace, and consistently deliver outstanding service to both clients and drivers.

This role sits at the heart of our delivery service and plays a vital part in the success of both our customers and drivers.

Our clients rely on us to keep their operations moving often at very short notice and the quality and speed of our response directly impacts their ability to deliver. This means the Recruitment Account Manager is not simply filling shifts; you are providing a critical operational solution that customers depend on every day.

You will act as a trusted partner to long-standing clients, ensuring they receive a consistent, reliable and proactive service, while also creating a positive experience for drivers through clear communication, support and professionalism.

Success in this role comes from balancing pace with quality managing high volumes of reactive requirements while building strong relationships that stand the test of time.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong day-to-day relationships with clients, understanding operational needs and reacting quickly to urgent or last-minute driver requests.

Manage high volumes of temporary and ad-hoc driver bookings, often within tight timeframes, ensuring service levels are maintained at all times.

Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service to both clients and drivers, recognising that long-term partnerships are built on reliability, communication and trust.

Attend daily morning meetings to provide updates on client requirements and service delivery priorities.

Take ownership of driver availability and engagement, ensuring drivers are well briefed, supported and feel valued as part of the Workforce team.

Attend service review meetings with customers to discuss performance, identify improvements and strengthen long-term relationships.

Write and place professional job adverts and utilise marketing tools to attract suitable driver candidates.

Source, qualify and manage driver relationships within your specialist area, including referencing and compliance checks.

Handle client and candidate queries with confidence and professionalism, taking ownership and resolving issues quickly.

Provide out-of-hours mobile support and participate in on-call rota duties to ensure customer requirements are met around the clock when needed.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise service delivery and commercial opportunities.

Visit customer sites across the UK to maintain service standards and strengthen partnerships.

Use in-house systems effectively to generate candidates and manage bookings.

Complete payroll processes and investigate payroll queries.

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy intake through to successful placement and ongoing aftercare.

Maintain strong relationships with active contractors and placements, ensuring consistent communication and service quality.

What We’re Looking For

Proven recruitment experience, ideally within the driving or logistics sector.

Strong account management skills with a genuine focus on customer service and relationship building.

Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-moving, reactive environment where priorities can change quickly.

Comfortable managing high volumes of last-minute requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong sense of ownership.

Understanding of driving sector compliance and regulations is desirable.
