Are you an experienced Science Technician with a background in schools or education? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a secondary school in Oldham as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

🔬 Setting up and preparing equipment for practical science lessons

🧪 Ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with health and safety regulations

📋 Managing and maintaining laboratory stock levels, ordering supplies as needed

🧹 Cleaning, maintaining, and organising scientific equipment

👩‍🏫 Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions where required

📝 Keeping accurate records of chemicals, equipment, and safety checks

Essential Requirements:

✔️ Must have prior experience working as a Science Technician in a school or educational setting

✔️ Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols

✔️ Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

✔️ A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
