Academics are currently supporting a number of welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary schools across Chester who are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support students across KS3 and KS4.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people, gaining valuable school-based experience, and making a positive impact within the classroom.

What You'll Do

Support students within the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
Provide additional support for students with SEN where required
Encourage student confidence, engagement and progress
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

Has previous experience working within schools or educational settings
OR has transferable skills from roles such as care work, coaching, youth work, mentoring or support work
Has experience supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs
Is patient, adaptable and proactive
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is passionate about supporting young people in education
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
