Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer

Location: London (Hammersmith) – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

Rate/Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum
Opportunity Summary
• Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer role within a growing tech business focused on smart matching, job bidding and route optimisation.
• Work across the full stack, with JavaScript and Vue.js on the frontend and a varied backend environment including Python, Node.js and TypeScript (plus exposure to other technologies).
• High ownership role with an emphasis on delivery, business impact, and continuous improvement, including DevOps and deployment responsibility.
What You’ll Be Working On
• Designing, building and improving customer-facing web applications and supporting backend services to help scale and future-proof the platform.
• Troubleshooting complex issues across the stack, improving performance, reliability and developer experience.
• Building and integrating APIs and services, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with modern web practices.
• Contributing to delivery in an Agile environment, balancing quick wins and immediate impact with longer-term technical strategy.
• Owning parts of the DevOps and release process, supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and quality through testing and automation.
• Collaborating closely with engineers and product stakeholders, helping shape solutions and working iteratively from idea to release.
Core Tech Stack (You’ll Use a Mix of These)
• Frontend: JavaScript, Vue.js (React or Angular experience also relevant)
• Backend / Services: Python, Node.js
• Languages & Tools: TypeScript (plus exposure to additional languages in the wider stack)
• Engineering Practices: APIs, CI/CD, automated testing, full SDLC delivery
• Ways of Working: Agile delivery, collaboration, mentoring and code reviews
What They’re Looking For
• Strong full-stack JavaScript experience, comfortable working across frontend and backend depending on project needs (front-weighted, back-weighted or 50/50).
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred; React/Angular also acceptable).
• Working knowledge of Python, plus exposure to Node.js and TypeScript in production settings.
• Strong understanding of API design and integration, and modern web development practices, tooling and patterns.
• Product-focused mindset with good commercial awareness and a bias toward delivering value.
• Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and working in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and testing.
• Collaborative approach with Agile team experience, and willingness to mentor or support junior developers.
• Degree-level education in Computer Science (or similar) is beneficial, but equivalent experience is also valuable.
