Electrician – Rochdale

Location: Rochdale

Duration: Temporary / Temp to Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Rate: £23.00 - £24.00 per hour

Northbuild Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a reactive and planned maintenance team, carrying out high-quality building maintenance works across Rochdale Borough Council properties.

The role will involve both planned and reactive electrical maintenance across occupied housing stock and commercial buildings. You will be carrying out repairs, installations, testing, inspections, fault finding, and remedial works, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations.

A large part of the role will involve testing and inspection work, including EICRs, alongside general electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations

* Completing testing and inspection works, including EICRs

* Fault finding and remedial works across domestic and commercial properties

* Working on lighting, power, and general electrical systems

* Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements

* Accurately recording completed works and materials

* Providing a high standard of customer service while working in occupied properties

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

* City & Guilds Electrical Theory Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent

* City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance, or commercial maintenance

* Strong testing and inspection experience

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Good communication and customer service skills
