Commissioning Reviews Social Workers Needed 32ph Hybrid ASAP Start

Connect2socialwork is currently recruiting for 1-2 Commissioning Reviews Social Workers to join a busy Adults Commissioning team in London, this is a great opportunity for experienced practitioners looking to step into a role with oversight, impact, and supervisory responsibility.

Role Overview

• Position: Commissioning Reviews Social Worker
• Rate: 32 per hour
• Start: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake person-centred reviews across commissioned services, ensuring needs are met and services remain high quality and cost effective
• Ensure compliance with Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
• Monitor placements, identifying where changes or alternative provisions are required
• Work closely with commissioning, brokerage, and provider teams to improve outcomes
• Support market development and service improvement initiatives

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to 2 NQ Reviewing Officers
• Contribute to efficiency savings and budget management
• Analyse service delivery and contribute to commissioning plans and recommendations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience within a Commissioning Reviews Team
• Strong understanding of:
  • Care Act
  • Mental Capacity Act
  • Safeguarding
• Experience of strengths-based, person-centred practice
• Ability to manage complex reviews, provider relationships, and cost negotiations
• Previous supervisory experience is essential
