Maintenance Engineer Kent

Contract Maintenance Engineer required in Ashford, Kent for a leading international manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background maintaining machinery within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Location: Near Ashford, Kent

Rate: £37 per hour (Outside IR35)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Duration: Ongoing Contract

Industry: FMCG / High-Speed Packaging Manufacturing

This Contract Maintenance Engineer position offers the chance to join a well-established business with a friendly and supportive team culture. The site is highly automated and requires an engineer who can confidently maintain production machinery, respond to breakdowns, and carry out planned maintenance activities.

Previous experience as a Contract Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, or production environment

Mechanical or Electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering experience

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

Experience maintaining production and packaging machinery

Ability to work independently and as part of a teamContract Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

Attend and resolve machinery breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability

Support continuous improvement initiatives

Adhere to all health and safety proceduresThis Contract Maintenance Engineer role would suit a proactive engineer looking for a long-term contract opportunity with a respected manufacturer near Ashford, Kent.

Commutable from Ashford, Maidstone, Folkstone, Charing, Canterbury, Winchelsea, Kingsnorth, Sittingbourne, Dover, Rochester, Chatham, Aylesford, Snodland, Strood, Sevenoaks and other parts of London, Sussex and Kent.
