Senior Registered Building Inspector
Staffordshire
£60 per hour Umbrella 37 Hours per Week Ongoing Contract
A local authority in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced Class 2 Registered Building Inspector to join their Building Control team on an ongoing agency basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy local authority at a time when demand for experienced Building Control professionals remains exceptionally high across the sector.
Contract Details
£60 per hour Umbrella
37 hours per week
Rolling 3-month contract extensions
Key Responsibilities
Assess applications for Building Regulation approval and undertake associated site inspections across the Partnership area.
Ensure Building Control services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with statutory requirements, national performance standards, and local objectives.
Manage major projects on behalf of partner organisations operating outside of the Partnership area.
Act as the Building Authority and Licensing Authority in relation to safety matters concerning sports grounds.
Fulfil statutory duties relating to dangerous structures and associated enforcement matters.
Provide professional Building Control advice to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulations.
Requirements
Registered Building Inspector status (Class 2).
Previous Local Authority Building Control experience.
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
