Machine Operator x4 (12-Week Temp to Perm)

Location: Clevedon
Salary: £28,243 + 17% Shift Premium (£33,044) (£18.16 per hour)
Hours: 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)

A leading global precision engineering manufacturer is seeking four Machine Operators to join their established site in Clevedon. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role after an initial 12-week temporary period within a high-spec, regulated manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will be working within a busy engineering environment, supporting production and ensuring work is completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating engineering machinery (CNC, manual lathes, milling machines, polishing equipment)
• Setting up machines and tooling
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out quality checks and measurements
• Working to production targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment (5S)
• Following all health and safety procedures

About You

Essential:

• Experience operating machinery within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good mechanical understanding
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

• CNC setting or programming experience
• Polishing experience
• Engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or Apprenticeship)

Shift Pattern

Monday to Thursday:

• 05 00
• 13 00

Friday:

• 05 20
• 11 40

Rotating fortnightly
