Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students in the classroom to enhance their learning and engagement.

Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

Support students with additional learning needs where required.

Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a productive learning environment.

Help promote students' confidence, independence, and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be patient, proactive, and adaptable in their approach.

Have a genuine passion for supporting student development and achievement.

Be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
