Job Title: General Warehouse Assistant (Catering Environment)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-paced catering operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and working as part of a team to support food service operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring all catering supplies, food items, and equipment are received, stored, and distributed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of food, beverages, and catering supplies
• Picking and packing orders for events, kitchens, or service areas
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting with stocktakes
• Ensuring all goods are stored safely and in line with food hygiene standards
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations
• Assisting with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Supporting the wider catering team as required during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or catering experience is desirable but not essential
• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (training can be provided)
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends
