Experienced Shot Blaster (Temp to Perm)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shot Blaster to join a busy and well-established engineering environment in Tameside. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a candidate with proven shot blasting experience who is looking for long-term employment with a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out shot blasting and glass blasting of steel products
  • Preparing and restoring a variety of components including:
    • Vessels
    • Frames
    • Plates
    • Other fabricated steel products
  • Ensuring finished products meet quality standards
  • Working safely and efficiently within a workshop environment
  • Following company health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
  • Previous and proven experience in shot blasting is essential
  • Experience of glass blasting is essential
  • Experience working on stainless steel fabrications such as vessels, frames and plates
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
  • Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • Overhead Crane Licence
