Year 4/5 Teacher (Part-Time, Maternity Cover) - Towcester

We are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Towcester that is seeking an enthusiastic Year 4/5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time maternity cover basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner who is dedicated to helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Role Highlights:

Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons across the Year 4/5 curriculum on a part-time basis

Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment

Support pupils in developing strong foundations in core subjects, particularly English and Maths

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs

Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear and supportive feedback

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupil achievement

Promote positive behaviour, independence, resilience, and engagement in learning

Contribute to the wider school community as part of a supportive team

About You:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school setting (Year 4/5 experience desirable)

Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice

A nurturing, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching and behaviour management

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Passionate about supporting both academic progress and personal development in children

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
