Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs School | West London

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

Horizon Teachers is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in West London that supports children and young people aged 7–19 with a range of complex learning needs, autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, and additional communication needs.

Staff work closely with therapists, families and multidisciplinary teams to provide an outstanding learning experience tailored to each individual student.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and socially. You will work closely with class teachers and specialist professionals to help students access learning, develop communication skills, build confidence and achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will also be required to provide personal care support where necessary, ensuring pupils' dignity, wellbeing and independence are always promoted.

Essential Requirements

At least 6 months' experience working within a special school setting.

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.

A positive, patient and resilient approach.

Willingness to provide personal care.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
