Teaching Assistant (Supply / Ad Hoc Cover)
Sheffield Area Part-Time Flexible Work EYFS - Key Stage 2
Start Date: September 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint adaptable and committed Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across the Sheffield area from September 2026. This role offers flexible, ad hoc supply work on a part-time basis, providing classroom support when schools require additional staffing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys variety, different school environments, and the flexibility that supply work brings.

In this position, you will be working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 settings, stepping into classrooms as needed to provide high-quality support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Working with pupils one-to-one and in small groups to enhance learning outcomes
• Assisting across a range of primary year groups from EYFS through to KS2
• Providing support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Quickly adapting to different school policies, routines, and expectations

We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
• Confidence supporting pupils with SEND, including a range of additional needs
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive approach
• Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups at short notice
• A Level 2 TA qualification or higher (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children's learning and development

Experience within schools is highly valued and will be considered more important than formal qualifications for this role.
