GIS Technician

Are you passionate about geospatial technology and spatial data analysis? We are seeking a GIS Technician to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality mapping, data management, and spatial analysis services. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative and innovative environment.

This role requires an office presence 3 days per week, 2 days from home

Key Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, and update GIS databases and spatial datasets.

Produce accurate maps, plans, reports, and visualisations for a range of stakeholders.

Carry out spatial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Collect, process, and validate geographic and asset-related information.

Perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of GIS information.

Integrate data from various sources, including GPS, CAD, survey, and asset management systems.

Provide GIS technical support and respond to user queries.

Assist with the development and improvement of GIS processes and workflows.

Support project teams with mapping and geospatial information requirements.

Essential Requirements:

Experience using GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, or QGIS.

Understanding of GIS principles, spatial data management, and cartography.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Effective communication and organisational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
