Assistant Management Accountant

An innovative and highly regarded organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its established finance team. This role is suitable for a candidate with strong management accounting experience and exposure to project-based financials.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Deliver meaningful variance analysis and financial commentary to support stakeholders
• Support project accounting, monitoring costs, budgets, and financial performance across multiple workstreams
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with internal teams
• Produce and maintain financial reports, including P&L and cash flow information
• Reconcile key accounts and support month-end and year-end processes
• Assist in improving financial processes and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior finance colleagues and project leads

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a management accounts or assistant management accountant role
• Exposure to project accounting or working with project budgets/cost tracking
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, accruals, and prepayments
• Experience producing financial reports and analysis for stakeholders
• Holds a completed professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
