Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant - Full Time

A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Balham is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, assisting pupils across KS1 and helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience. The school has a strong team ethos, supportive leadership, and well-behaved pupils who are eager to learn.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide classroom support, small group interventions, and targeted assistance where needed.

The Role Will Involve:

Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1

Assisting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

Supporting phonics, reading, and early literacy development

Helping to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment

Working closely with teachers to support pupil progress and attainment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working within a primary school setting

Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and patient approach

Be confident supporting pupils within Key Stage 1

Work effectively as part of a team
