SEN Teaching Assistant

GB Recruitment are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and supportive schools, across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who truly care about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individual students and small groups, access the curriculum, develop their skills, and build confidence in nurturing environments. Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational activities to students with special educational needs.
• Support individual students and small groups to enhance their learning and social skills.
• Help implement personalised learning plans and monitor student progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions within the classroom.
• Support students with physical, emotional, or learning difficulties to participate fully in lessons.

Requirements

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to meet individual needs.
• MUST be willing to undertake personal care of children.
• To hold an education-based Level 3 qualification (Essential)
• Hold an enhanced DBS or the desire to get one (Essential)
