Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Watford

Location: Watford

Salary: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Start Date: September 2026

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3-5 in a secondary school setting. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of Mathematics lessons across KS3-KS5

Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to raise attainment

Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom resources

Support students in developing confidence in numeracy and problem-solving

Work closely with the Maths department to track student progressRequirements

A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject

Strong subject knowledge and numeracy skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
