Cover Supervisor, Cardiff

Supply Team are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work within Secondary schools in the Cardiff area. With a busy year ahead, this position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working within Education, and ultimately lay the foundations for permanent classroom-based roles in the future.

If you are a Newly Qualified Teacher, this is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the schools in Cardiff, and develop strong links for future Teaching roles.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about working with pupils of all ages. Whether you have been a Sports Coach, have been involved in Youth Work, spent time in the Armed Forces, taken part in Summer Camps anything of that nature you will have the transferable skills required to undertake this post.

What you can expect in the role of a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervising work that has been left for the class and ensuring acceptable behaviour is maintained;
• Ensuring any worksheets / books are collected at the end of a lesson and subsequent setting of homework left by the class Teacher;
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person;
• Reporting of any disruptive or escalating behaviour, in line with school policy;
• Ensure that the classroom is left tidy at the end of each lesson;
• Undertake form/lunchtime/break duties including registration cover, as directed.
