Site Manager (M&E)

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Sector: M&E / Commercial Fit-Out

Duration: Immediate Start – October/November 2026

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager (M&E) to oversee mechanical and electrical installation works on a commercial fit-out project in Birmingham City Centre.

The project involves the refurbishment and fit-out of a large shared living accommodation development, comprising commercial areas and residential-style living spaces. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of M&E subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

Qualifications

* SMSTS

* CSCS Card

* First Aid at Work

* Electrical background advantageous

Requirements

* Previous experience working as a Site Manager on M&E projects.

* Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures.

* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on site.

* Experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or building services projects.

* Electrical background preferred, although candidates with broader M&E management experience will also be considered.

* Strong communication and organisational skills
