Role: Refuse Loader
Location: Leek
Hours: Full Time Monday Friday, 6:00am 2:00pm
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Pay: £13.45 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Refuse Loaders to join a busy waste and recycling team based in Leek.

This is a physically active, outdoor role suited to reliable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable working in all weather conditions.

The Role:

• Collecting household and commercial waste and recycling materials
• Pulling and manoeuvring wheelie bins throughout collection routes
• Loading waste safely and efficiently onto refuse vehicles
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection rounds
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Assisting with keeping vehicles and work areas clean and tidy
• Supporting the smooth running of waste collection operations

The Requirements:

• Physically fit, as the role involves heavy lifting, walking up to 10 miles daily, and working on your feet for long periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, flexible, and hardworking
• Good team player with a positive attitude
• Awareness of health and safety and surroundings
• Own transport is advantageous due to depot location
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs safely
• Previous similar experience is beneficial but not essential
