Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching Economics & Business Studies in a great school located in Lambeth?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with this Client, a thriving secondary school in the borough of Lambeth, to appoint a committed and dynamic Economics & Business Studies Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach motivated students across Key Stages 4 and 5 within a supportive and ambitious department.

This Client is a well-regarded secondary school that has been praised in its most recent Ofsted inspection for its strong leadership, positive learning culture, and improving outcomes for students. Inspectors highlighted the school's inclusive ethos, high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and the commitment of staff to ensuring every learner is supported to succeed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Economics and Business Studies, assessing student progress, preparing learners for GCSE and A-Level examinations, and contributing to the wider life of the department. You will be expected to inspire students, promote academic excellence, and support the school's drive for continued improvement.

Job role requirements include teaching Economics and Business Studies across KS4 and KS5, strong subject knowledge in both disciplines, the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that stretch and challenge all learners, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to raising attainment. You should be confident in using data to track progress and inform planning, and willing to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a relevant degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a closely related subject, and experience teaching within a secondary school setting. ECTs with strong subject knowledge and placement experience are also encouraged to apply. The successful teacher will be proactive, resilient, highly organised, and passionate about their subject, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

This Client offers a supportive leadership team, well-resourced classrooms, opportunities for professional development, and a positive working environment where staff are valued and encouraged to progress. The school is easily accessible via excellent transport links across Lambeth, with nearby Underground, Overground, and bus routes providing convenient access from across London.

In addition, working through Tradewind Recruitment offers a range of benefits including competitive pay in line with London MPS/UPS, ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, and unlimited access to National College free CPD courses to support your professional growth and career development.

Interviews are to be arranged immediately, and the school will conduct interviews once CVs have been shortlisted, so do not delay in applying for this role.

To find out more about this opportunity or other similar teaching roles, please contact (url removed), Business Manager, directly for further information.

Salary: London MPS/UPS

M1 - M6 Salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6, UPS requires formal application. TLR payments made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.

Interviews are to be arranged immediately
