Learning Support Assistant - Alternative Provision

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Tiptree, Essex. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who require additional guidance to succeed in education, both academically and personally.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

· Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs

· Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

· Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities

· Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

· Help build students confidence, engagement, and independence

About the Setting

This Alternative Provision supports students who may have struggled in mainstream education. The environment is nurturing, structured, and focused on helping learners re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)

· A calm, patient, and resilient approach

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

· Understanding of SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
