Primary Schools SEND / SEMH Experience Aspire People

Aspire People are looking for motivated Psychology Graduates who want to begin a career supporting children within education.

Working as a Behaviour & Inclusion Support Assistant is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how schools support children with different learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.

This role is ideal for graduates who are considering careers within education, SEND, mental health support, child development, or specialist teaching pathways.

The Role:
Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
Helping children overcome barriers to learning
Supporting positive behaviour strategies
Assisting with interventions and structured activities
Working alongside teachers and SEN teams
Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence

Transferable Psychology Skills:
Understanding behaviour patterns and triggers
Supporting emotional wellbeing
Developing effective communication strategies
Applying knowledge of child development
Building trusting relationships

The Ideal Candidate:
Psychology degree or similar background
Interested in a career working with children
Passionate about SEND and inclusion
Resilient, patient, and adaptable
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
