Pay: £2000 - £2200 per monthA well-respected primary school located in Edgware, Barnet, is currently seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant with a background in psychology to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone eager to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while gaining hands-on experience in a school setting.

The role centres on providing both academic and social-emotional support to children with SEN. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping young learners thrive in an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment. This position is ideal for someone with a psychology-related degree who is looking to build a career in education, child development, or mental health services.

Main Duties:

Work alongside the classroom teacher to support daily activities and maintain a structured learning environment.

Deliver tailored assistance to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to positive classroom management.

Ensure the well-being and progress of children who require extra help, both educationally and emotionally.

Contribute to a supportive and inclusive atmosphere as a valued Learning Support Assistant.Candidate Requirements:

A degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.

Proven experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs.

Confident behaviour management and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
