Repairs Surveyor

Rate: £300 - £380 per day (Temporary Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Repairs Surveyor with a strong understanding of property maintenance and building pathology.

The role will involve carrying out property inspections, diagnosing defects, and overseeing responsive repairs across a social housing portfolio. You will be responsible for specifying works, managing contractors, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

The right individual will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working within social housing or housing associations.

Key responsibilities:

Carry out property inspections to diagnose repair issues and defects.

Specify and oversee responsive repair works from start to completion.

Manage contractors and monitor performance and quality of works.

Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.

Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, works, and progress updates.

Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety and housing standards.

Job Criteria:

Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, or local authorities.

Strong knowledge of building maintenance and property defects.

Experience managing responsive repairs and contractor performance.

Ability to diagnose building issues and specify remedial works.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
