Full-Stack JavaScript Developer – Must have previous government experience

12 month fixed term contract
Remote with ad hoc travel
Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll design and develop robust APIs and backend services using server-side JavaScript runtime, while also contributing to frontend interfaces that deliver seamless user experiences. You’ll work within a cloud-native architecture, leveraging cloud platform, containerisation, and infrastructure automation to deliver resilient, maintainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using server-side JavaScript runtime.
• Build responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design event-driven systems using event-streaming platform and SQS.
• Implement infrastructure automation with infrastructure automation tooling.
• Deploy and manage services in cloud platform (ECS, Cognito, SQS).
• Containerise applications using containerisation technology.
• Collaborate across DevOps, design, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Maintain code quality through source-control platform CI/CD and peer reviews.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance across the stack.
Your Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in full stack development with server-side JavaScript runtime.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (front-end framework, Vue, etc.).
• Familiarity with event-driven systems (event-streaming platform, SQS).
• Proficiency in cloud platform services and cloud-native deployment.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tooling and containerisation technology.
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments.
