Reporting to the Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the overhead line component of the scheme, including key overhead line tie-ins across multiple projects. You will also manage a mobile substation project for the scheme.
This role requires strong interface management, as you will coordinate across project teams, engineering discipline, contractors and supply chain partners to manage dependencies, clarify responsibilities, and ensure design, construction and commissioning deliverables progress in line with the programme.
You will
Deliver the overhead line component of the project, including associated tie-ins and interfaces across multiple transmission projects.
Manage the mobile substation project, ensuring safe and effective delivery in line with programme, budget and regulatory requirements.
Manage a multi-disciplinary project team and work closely with external delivery contractors and supply chain partners.
Provide strong interface management across projects, ensuring dependencies, responsibilities and deliverables are clearly understood and actively managed.
Work closely with the Lead Project Manager to uphold high safety standards and champion Clients' Safety Golden Rules.
Manage NEC3 contract requirements, including change control, risk, commercial governance and programme management.
Support internal and external stakeholder engagement across engineering, construction, commercial, operations, consents, land and outage planning teams.
Provide guidance to the team and demonstrate Client's core values, helping ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
You have experience delivering large-scale transmission, infrastructure or construction projects, ideally involving overhead lines and substation interfaces.
Strong experience in interface management across multiple projects, contractors and delivery teams.
Experience managing external contractors and supply chain partners in a delivery environment.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage dependencies and build strong working relationships.
Strong understanding of project governance, controls, cost forecasting, change management and integrated programme management.
NEC3 contract management experience.
An engineering, construction or project management qualification/ degree, or equivalent relevant experience
