Project Engineer Sizewell C - Contract - Outside IR35

We are recruiting an experienced Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure package on the Sizewell C nuclear project, specifically focused on railway level crossing upgrades. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering technically challenging civil engineering works on one of the UK s largest schemes.

The Role

• Manage engineering delivery of railway level crossing upgrade works
• Coordinate site engineering activities, including setting out and quality control
• Review and implement RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
• Work closely with Site Agents, Section Engineers and subcontract teams
• Liaise with client, Network Rail representatives, and stakeholders
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project programme, specifications, and safety requirements
• Support commercial team with progress reporting and change management
• Maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and QA documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Engineer within civil engineering
• Strong background in railway / level crossing / rail infrastructure works - essential
• Familiar with Network Rail standards and procedures
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Competent in setting out, QA, ITPs, and RAMS
• Current valid PTS - essential
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
