Job Description

A friendly and nurturing primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their Reception team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established Early Years setting, supporting children during a crucial stage of their development. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality learning experiences that promote children's social, emotional and academic growth.

The Role

Support teaching and learning within a Reception class

Assist in delivering engaging Early Years activities both indoors and outdoors

Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

Support children's personal, social and emotional development

Observe, monitor and record children's progress

Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents

Contribute to the preparation and organisation of learning resources and classroom environments

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent recognised Early Years qualification)

Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting

Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
