We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding special school, catering to students in KS3 secondary education.

At our lovely school in Benfleet located in the heart of Essex, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for our students. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Special Needs Teacher to join our exceptional team of educators and support staff.

The Role:

As a Special Needs Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to work in small class sizes, with a maximum of 6 pupils, alongside 3 dedicated teaching assistants and a collaborative team of professionals. This close-knit environment allows for individualized attention and tailored support, ensuring every student receives the care and guidance they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and fellow teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication and a sense of community.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities to continuously enhance your teaching skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in KS3.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow.
