Academics are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant candidates to support our network of client primary schools across Southampton. Opportunities are available across all primary age ranges, from Early Years and Nursery through to Year 6, making this an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to begin or continue their career as a Teaching Assistant in Southampton.

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within UK primary schools would be highly beneficial, and applicants with recognised teaching assistant qualifications are encouraged to apply. However, these are not essential requirements. We are also keen to hear from candidates with transferable experience, including those who have worked in care settings, summer clubs, youth work, sports coaching or other child-focused environments.

Successful applicants will be passionate about supporting children's learning and development and comfortable working across a variety of age groups within primary schools throughout Southampton.

To be considered, you will:

Have experience working with children or young people in some capacity.

Ideally have previous UK school experience or a relevant qualification, although this is not essential.

Have, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS check.Academics can offer:
