Class 2 Registered Building Inspector

Location: Lancashire (Local Authority)

Rate: Negotiable DOE

Contract Length: Initial 3 Months

Hours: Full Time

Carrington West are assisting a Local Authority in Lancashire with their search for a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector to join their Building Control team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Inspector to support a busy Building Control service, undertaking a varied caseload of inspections and ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations and associated legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

·Carry out site inspections across a range of residential and commercial developments.

·Assess building works for compliance with Building Regulations and associated standards.

·Provide technical advice and guidance to developers, architects, contractors, and members of the public.

·Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records.

·Support the Building Control team in delivering an efficient and customer-focused service.

·Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Building Safety Regulator requirements.

Requirements:

·Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator.

·Class 2 registration (A-D or above considered).

·Previous experience working within a Local Authority Building Control environment.

·Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.

·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

·Full UK driving licence preferred.
