SEND Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School Full-Time Wallington

About the role
TimePlan Education are currently recruiting for a strong and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a supportive mainstream primary school in Wallington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated TA who has a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs and is passionate about helping children thrive within a mainstream classroom setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Support children's academic, social, and emotional development
• Implement strategies to support individual learning needs
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support effective behaviour management strategies

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
• Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
• Confident supporting children with varying additional needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach

Desirable

• Childcare Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (not essential)
