About the Role

As a Waste Management Loader, you will work as part of a collection crew responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste, recycling, and green waste across the borough.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect household, recycling, and garden waste in accordance with scheduled routes.
• Assist the driver and collection crew in maintaining efficient waste collection services.
• Ensure waste and recycling containers are handled safely and returned appropriately.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Report any issues, hazards, or incidents to supervisors.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses.
• Support the council's environmental and recycling objectives.

• Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality public services.
• Previous experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
