Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services

Rate: £50 per hour

What you will be doing

·Leading mechanical design delivery on large, complex construction projects

·Producing high-quality designs and specifications aligned to client requirements

·Acting as the mechanical engineering lead in design and coordination meetings

·Providing expert technical advice across all aspects of building services engineering

·Ensuring fully coordinated, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions

·Collaborating with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders

·Supporting pre-construction activities, including budgets and pre-tender estimates

·Driving sustainable design and innovative engineering solutions

·Maintaining quality assurance, design standards, and regulatory compliance

·Identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout project lifecycle

·Contributing to BIM and continuous improvement initiatives

·Reporting on progress, risks, and performance to senior leadership

What you will bring

·Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

·Membership of CIBSE or IMechE

·Chartered status (or actively working towards it)

·Proven experience delivering mechanical designs on large, complex projects

·Strong technical expertise in building services design and engineering

·Experience working within structured design processes and quality frameworks
